Nisqually Wildlife Refuge Olympia, Washington
The Billy Frank Jr. Nisqually Wildlife Refuge is a popular place for photographers in the Olympia area and its easy to see why. How often does a location have forests, barns, grasslands, ponds, boardwalks and even a view of the Puget Sound?
Naturally it was the first place that came to my mind when Sonia mentioned her maternity photos. Sonia is a mother of an adorable 1 year old daughter and is expecting a baby boy in the next month. What and exciting time of life.
Her daughter was content the whole session and even liked to copy the poses she saw her mommy doing. How stinkin' cute is that?
It's is about a quarter mile walk out to the two beautiful white barns so I always suggest a stroller for families with small kids. That can be a long walk for kids and moms to be.
If you're feeling adventurous and spry you can keep on walking and reach the longest boardwalk ever over a river delta out to the Puget Sound. The last time my family and I went on the boardwalk we spotted some seals resting on a small nearby island.
I highly recommend The Nisqually Wildlife Refuge for a nice evening with your family! Send me an e-mail or message if you'd like your family memories captured in the greater Olympia area.
