The Robinson Family

A Winter Wonderland Photography Session

Here in Thurston County Washington, a little snow is cause for big excitement. This past week we have experienced over a foot of snow! That's a big deal for us, we don't have the resources to deal with this amount of snow. Heck I don't even own a snow shovel or ice scrapper for my car, LOL. School has been canceled for 3 days in a row and I think we're all starting to get a little bit of cabin fever over here.

Nothing is quite as beautiful and picturesque as snow covered the big fir trees. I was so excited when the Robinson family reached out for me for some family pictures in the snow. It's not everyday you get to do a beautiful winter wonderland family photo shoot from the comfort of your own backyard.

This cute family braved the arctic temperatures and unplowed roads.

For the most part the kids were amazing all things considered. The baby was the most well behaved baby you've ever seen. She didn't have a care in the world. The brothers had contagious smiles the whole time.

I don't know if you noticed by these pictures but not everyone was a fan of the snow. I can never resist taking pictures of the real life imperfect stuff so we all have something to laugh about later. This cute little girl was just cold and miserable. No amount of treats, or dancing, or me being ridiculous could crack a smile. That's when I knew I had to break out the big guns to get a smile.

What do all little girls love? Horses..... the answer is always horses.

The Robinson parents were the kindest, most loving, and patient parents I have ever witnessed during a photoshoot. They were happy and laid back and it really shows in the pictures. It was also apparent that they have a lot of love and respect for one another.

I just loved getting to know the Robinson family!
